Positioned for the Present Season

In the present season the church has found itself in the midst of the most significant series of changes it has experienced since its inception in Jerusalem.Not since Martin Luther's protestant reformation of the sixteenth century has the church been gripped by such an opportunity to be changed and transformed.We are presently experiencing a release of the Holy Spirit's divine dealings which is opening a new door into deeper dimensions of God's purposes and end-time intent.

In this present season the Lord is working in a reformation spirit to upgrade and reposition the Body of Christ for kingdom advancement.God is overhauling mentalities, understandings, perceptions and positions in the church.God is making known to the church deeper facets of His ways, plans and purposes, for the intention of empowering the church to move into a greater dimension of accuracy and authority. From this will be birthed a new manifestation of church life in the earth.

UNDERSTANDING A NEW MOVE

To define the term a ‘Move of God' we must understand that God doesn't move.We are required to move. God abides in perfect stillness and perfection. God doesn't wake up one day and say I'm going to have a reformation move or a revival move. God works in strategic appointed times to move us into His ways and move us into His seasonal ways for the earth.The key issue is to get established in the present truth that God is revealing.It is the truth that we encounter in any experience with the Holy Spirit that enables us to be repositioned for the next season.

An example of this can be found in the book of 1 Kings 19:9-13. Elijah had succumb to the threats of Jezebel and as a result walked out of the will and purposes of God for the hour. In order for him to be positioned accurately and for the Lord to move through him, God created a phenomenon in three ways, the wind, the earthquake and the fire. However the Bible says that God was not in these manifestations! Finally, the Word of God says: …after the fire a still small voice and so it was when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. In fact the original translation reads, a delicate, whispering voice or word.It was the power of the Word he heard and the understanding he obtained that repositioned Elijah accurately for the next season.

The Word of God is not necessarily words in English but a spiritual frequency.The word of God is living! The Word of God is not just information it is the life flow of all that God is. His nature and character, and His authority and power are hidden within the Logos word. It is not until understanding enters our hearts that these attributes become alive and manifest in us! When responded to, it creates the power within us to manifest an attribute of God on earth not seen or experienced before. This is a move of God!Basically what happens is that God makes more of Himself available to our wisdom through His word to us.God unveils more of Himself, which intern affects the current systems of the earth. Change occurs in a variety of places as a result of this occurrence.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPHETS AND THE WORD OF THE LORD

Prophets will begin to sense a change in a season. Then God begins to speak through them in order to articulate correct seasonal patterns in the present season.God must always speak before things in the earth can be shifted into the order of the day.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them Isaiah 42:9

The key is in our obedience to the word of the lord. Our active response to what God is saying to us.Truth must be walked out not just received.

BEING ESTABLISHED IN PRESENT TRUTH

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth 2 Pet 1:12.

Whenever God is releasing a new dimension of truth into the earth, it is vital that we not only hear the truth proclaimed but become established in it.One of the common pitfalls in the church today is with those who are hearing the new things God is declaring, but are not committed to becoming established in it. The word establish means: to be joined together in union with or the coming together of two parts firmly. We must understand that truth is always progressively unfolding. When we become established in a measure of truth we are basically coming into a place of agreement and hence connecting our lives to it so that we are joined as one with truth.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

Rom 12:2,Transformation begins by submitting ones mind to the renewing of the Holy Spirit. Notice the word, ‘renewing'. It is an ongoing process of the Lord; bringing our minds back to the state of the second Adam.During each new phase of our lives the Lord will begin the work of renewing our thought patterns. He does this by reconfiguring the strongholds of our minds. A mind that is submitted to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit will be grounded in present truth and flexible to any change the Lord brings.

THE PROCESS EXPLAINED:

1. New season approaches – God begins to unfold truth to us individually ( Isa 42:9)
2. He then works to establish us in that present truth. Rom 12:2 removing former things in our thinking. Former things are systems of thought that no longer are valid or powerful enough to empower us to walk accurately and effectively in the new season.
3. When we have established this in our hearts it will begin to effect and influence our direction. In other words we should start to see changes occurring as a direct result of the truth now existent in our minds.

SPEEDING THINGS UP!

Under the impact of this present season the church must continue to rise up to seize control of the destiny God has for each nation. For this to take place it requires that we enter into full cooperation with the will of God and the revelation He is proclaiming. By being committed to be established in God's present truth it will accelerate the times and seasons so that the end will come. …as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming…2 Pet 3:12
